I’m an independent consultant specialising in project and portfolio assurance and PMO leadership, working with boards and executive teams to strengthen confidence in complex change.
For more than 20 years, I’ve worked across banking, insurance, fintech, and other regulated environments — building PMOs, stabilising portfolios, and providing independent assurance where delivery risk, governance, and credibility matter most.
I don’t approach assurance as a compliance exercise or a reporting function.
I see it as a leadership discipline — one that protects investment, enables better decisions, and helps organisations surface risk early rather than explain failure late.
My Perspective on Assurance and PMOs
Much of my career has been spent close to senior decision-making — supporting leaders who are accountable not just for delivery, but for outcomes, confidence, and trust.
Over time, I’ve seen a consistent pattern:
- projects can appear healthy while confidence quietly erodes
- reporting can describe activity without revealing exposure
- PMOs can manage processes without owning assurance
My work focuses on closing that gap.
I help organisations design PMOs and governance structures that boards respect — not because they produce more documentation, but because they provide clear, independent insight into what is really happening.

My background includes:
- Over 20 years’ experience in project, programme, and portfolio leadership
- Building PMO functions and providing assurance for multiple financial service organisations
- Acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders during periods of transformation, regulatory scrutiny, and organisational change
I am a Fellow of the Association for Project Management (FAPM) and a finalist for World PMO Influencer of the Year (2023). I also serve as a judge for the PMO Global Awards and contribute regularly to professional communities across project and portfolio management.
Alongside my consulting work, I share practical insights through writing, speaking, and long-form content — including my YouTube channel, which has reached a global audience of project and change professionals.

I operate as an independent, fractional partner, which allows me to engage quickly, remain unbiased, and focus entirely on executive outcomes.

Working Across London and the UAE
My professional roots are firmly in London, where I have spent the majority of my career working with regulated organisations, complex portfolios, and senior leadership teams operating under sustained scrutiny.
That experience continues to underpin my work today — particularly in environments where governance, assurance, and executive confidence are critical.
Alongside my UK-based work, I established my consulting business in the UAE in 2025, with a planned relocation to Dubai in July 2026. This structure supports organisations across Dubai and Abu Dhabi through on-site, hybrid, and fractional engagements, while maintaining continuity for UK clients.
This structure provides continuity for UK-based clients while enabling a committed, long-term presence in the UAE — rather than a temporary or exploratory market entry.
Beyond the CV
Much of my thinking is shaped by time spent observing how decisions are really made — in boardrooms, steering committees, and moments of pressure.
That perspective underpins my work as a speaker and facilitator, where I focus less on frameworks and more on:
